Interview Process
Huron is dedicated to hiring, developing, and retaining top talent from industry, consulting, and professional services backgrounds. Huron has six staffing levels: Assistant, Analyst, Associate, Manager, Director, and Managing Director. Each individual brings a distinct skill set to both engagements and the operation of our company.
Our interview process starts when there is a position identified by either the consulting practices or corporate departments. The recruiter will source and contact candidates to conduct a phone screen. This initial phone screen should ensure that the candidate qualifications match both the position description and the other criteria to be successful in the role. The recruiter will then share the qualified candidates with the Hiring Manager.
The next steps in the interview process are for the Hiring Manager or appropriate practice consultants to conduct 2- 3 phone interviews. As the Hiring Manager and practice consultants are experts in their field, these phone interviews should solidify the fact that the qualifications of the candidate are a match to the current opening. Once the phone interviews are completed, selected candidates will be invited to a Huron office or on-site client location for an in-person interview. Huron conducts behavioral based interviews structured around previous work experience and education.
Finally, a hiring decision is made and the recruiter will call and extend an offer to the appropriate candidate. Candidates that interviewed but were not hired will also receive a phone call from the recruiter. Upon acceptance of our offer, recruiting will be begin the on-boarding process by performing background checks, confirming start dates, checking references and coordinating orientation.
