James H. Roth
James H. Roth was appointed to Huron’s Board of Directors on November 3, 2009. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Company since July 30, 2009. Previously, he was Vice President, Health and Education Consulting for the Company since January 1, 2007. Since the Company’s inception in 2002, Mr. Roth has been a managing director and practice leader of the Company’s Higher Education Consulting Practice.
David M. Shade
David M. Shade was appointed our President and Chief Operating Officer on May 6, 2009. He had served as Vice President, Healthcare since May 2007. Prior to joining Huron, Mr. Shade was Principal, Chief Executive Officer and a founder of Wellspring Partners (now a Huron Consulting Group Practice). Previously, Mr. Shade served the healthcare consulting division of Ernst & Young in a variety of partner level roles for more than 21 years, where he moved the practice beyond healthcare finance into healthcare operations and strategy. He subsequently served as Chief Executive Officer and principal investor of a firm specializing in healthcare valuation services. Before starting his professional career, Mr. Shade served as a combat officer with the 101st Airborne Division in the Republic of Viet Nam where he was decorated for valor. Mr. Shade received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Miami University, Ohio, as well as a master’s in business administration from the Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Mr. Shade serves as a Trustee of Miami University and chairs its $500 million capital campaign; serves as President of the Union League Club of Chicago; Trustee of the Union League Boys and Girls Clubs; and as a Member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American Hospital Association.
James K. Rojas
James K. Rojas was appointed Treasurer of Huron on November 3, 2009. He has served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company since July 30, 2009. Before returning to Huron, Mr. Rojas was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Stop & Shop and Giant Supermarket Company, a subsidiary of Ahold USA, Inc., a grocery retailer, from June 2007 to June 2009. Prior thereto, he was the Executive Vice President – Shared Services of Ahold USA, Inc. from January 2007 to June 2007. Previously, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Administration Officer of U.S. Foodservice, a broadline foodservice distributor, from January 2006 to December 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Rojas served as Vice President of Corporate Development for Huron from March 2005 through December 2005 as well as a managing director of Huron Consulting Services LLC from May 2002 through March 2005.
Natalia Delgado
Natalia Delgado has served as our General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since September 2004. She was appointed Vice President on March 1, 2006. From January 1999 to September 2004, she was a principal at the law firm of Goldberg, Kohn, Bell, Black, Rosenbloom & Moritz Ltd. Prior to that, Ms. Delgado was a partner at the law firm of Jenner & Block. During her career in private practice, Ms. Delgado represented clients in securities and corporate matters, including public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructurings. Her practice has also involved advising clients regarding compliance with securities laws and corporate governance. She is admitted to practice law in the states of Illinois and New York. Ms. Delgado is a member of the boards of directors of the National Women's Law Center, Appleseed, and Midtown Educational Foundation.
Mary M. Sawall
Mary M. Sawall has served as our Vice President, Human Resources since May 2004, as Vice President, Human Resources of Huron Consulting Services LLC since January 2004, and as Managing Director and head of Human Resources of Huron Consulting Services LLC since May 2002. Previously, she was executive vice president of human resources at Encore Development, a technology solutions provider, from 2000 to 2002 and at marchFIRST Inc., a global business and technology solutions provider, from 1998 to 2000. She has also served as director of human resources for the Illinois practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP and has held financial and administrative management positions at Booz Allen Hamilton, a global strategy and technology consulting firm, and Cambridge Associates, a provider of investment and financial research and consulting services to nonprofit institutions.
Diane Ratekin
Diane Ratekin was named Huron’s Assistant Secretary on May 6, 2009. She has been employed in Huron’s legal department since January 2005, and currently serves as our Deputy General Counsel and a Managing Director. Prior to joining Huron, Ms. Ratekin was a partner in the Corporate Department of McGuireWoods LLP. Previously, she spent 17 years in the legal department of Deutsche Investment Management Americas Inc., formerly known as Zurich Scudder Investments, Inc. and Kemper Financial Services, Inc., where she was a Director and Team Leader of the Corporate and Investments Team. Before that, Ms. Ratekin was a litigator at Jenner & Block. Ms. Ratekin is admitted to practice in Iowa and Illinois. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
Lisa Robison
Lisa Robison was named Assistant Treasurer on May 6, 2009. She serves as Huron’s Managing Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Ms. Robison has been with Huron since June 2004. In addition to her responsibilities in Financial Planning and Analysis, Ms. Robison is also responsible for Huron’s Treasury Management function. Prior to joining Huron, Ms. Robison spent her entire career at Arthur Andersen. She began her career in 1983 as an auditor in Chicago and in 1986 moved to Practice Administration where she was the Operations Manager for the Specialty Consulting Group until 1997. Ms. Robison was promoted to Principal in 2000 while serving as the Financial Operations Director for the Central Region Business Consulting Practice from 1997 to 2002. Ms. Robison has had extensive experience working with consulting business leaders helping them operate their businesses profitably.
Thomas Burns
Thomas Burns was appointed Huron’s Controller effective October 1, 2009. Previously he had served as Huron’s Director of Revenue since joining the Company in 2005. Prior to joining Huron, Mr. Burns had served as Director of Finance for American Tower Corporation, a leading provider of wireless and broadcast towers worldwide, and as Director of Financial Reporting and Budgeting for 360° Communications Company, a wireless communications company. Mr. Burns received a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois.
