Gill has more than 25 years of experience advising clients to develop and implement new growth strategies, raise capital, execute complex financial transactions and transform their organizations. Gill provides counsel to C-suite executives in life sciences and healthcare organizations, along with venture capital and private equity firms, specialty life sciences investors, and boards of directors.
Gill has deep expertise in investment banking, including capital formation and corporate strategic transactions. Over the course of his investment banking career, Gill has closed over 115 advisory and financing transactions with values ranging from $25 million to $1.5 billion, as well as a broad spectrum of transaction types and products, including:
- Public and private equity capital markets (private placements, initial public offerings, follow-on equity offerings, convertibles, registered directs).
- Strategic advisory (mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate development, licensing).
- Debt capital markets.
Gill’s specific sector expertise includes:
- Life sciences: Pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices and technology, precision medicine/diagnostics, drug discovery technologies and life sciences tools.
- Healthcare: Contract research services, alternate site care and dialysis care.
Before joining Huron, Gill most recently advised biopharmaceutical and other life sciences companies in therapeutic areas, including oncology, rare diseases, inflammation and the central nervous system (CNS). Gill’s senior-level corporate finance and investment banking experience includes positions as managing director, global coordinator and sector head at ING Barings; partner and co-head of healthcare at Thomas Weisel Partners; co-head of healthcare and managing director at Morgan Joseph; and managing director at Cantor Fitzgerald.
