Andy has more than three decades of experience guiding both domestic and international clients through operational, supply chain and process improvement programs. He specializes in working with healthcare organizations, but brings a depth of expertise from a range of industries, including life sciences and manufacturing.
With more than 30 years of experience, Andy has a long and distinguished career helping an array of healthcare, life sciences and manufacturing clients plan and implement performance improvement programs. He regularly works with healthcare leaders to transform their organization’s financial position and support sustainable growth.
Throughout his career, Andy has:
- Advised over 100 health systems, academic health centers and critical access hospitals on operational and financial performance improvement initiatives, cost reduction and integration plans.
- Recently led a $400 million labor turnaround for a large nonprofit national healthcare system focused on improving operating performance, workforce productivity, design and development of a standardized systemwide management platform, and the identification and rationalization of low-value service lines.
- Led the integration of an 11-hospital system focused on driving operating efficiencies through improved management, streamlined business processes and the creation of a shared services structure to realize over $60 million in benefit while preserving the organization’s mission and long-term fiscal stability.
Prior to Huron, Andy was a vice president and partner at Tefen USA, a global management consulting firm where he was responsible for the business development and delivery of performance excellence for the firm’s healthcare, medical device and manufacturing clients. He has also held management positions at Intel Corporation, where he focused on performance improvement, and West Hudson Inc., where he focused on healthcare labor productivity.
