Barry works alongside healthcare leaders to develop a balanced approach to performance improvement with a focus on operational efficiency and effectiveness. He has a depth of expertise in hospital operations and workforce management, supply chain, shared services, clinical transformation, and post-merger integration that he applies to help healthcare provider organizations achieve their financial and growth targets.
Throughout his career, Barry has led multiple performance improvement and financial turnaround engagements resulting in up to $70 million in annual recurring operating margin improvement through a balanced portfolio of revenue, labor and non-labor expense, and length of stay improvements. He has also helped numerous health systems navigate merger integration planning, helping generate up to $48 million in annual recurring operating savings.
Prior to joining Huron, Barry was a director with Navigant Consulting, where he was responsible for leading large integrated margin improvement, workforce efficiency, clinical transformation and post-merger integration efforts. He has also held similar performance improvement roles at Computer Sciences Corporation, OptumInsight and EY.
