About Brett

Brett has more than 13 years’ experience guiding healthcare clients through financial transformation, bringing his expertise in revenue cycle; designing patient access systems; medical coding and billing; and building IT systems for hospital and professional billing, health information management, and revenue integrity. His experience includes implementing self-service patient payment platforms, designing Medicaid expansion strategies, executing ambulatory clinic turnarounds, and leading Epic revenue cycle teams.

Across his career, Brett has:

  • Implemented a state’s first fully compliant price transparency program, resulting in enhanced patient estimates and self-service pricing tools.
  • Launched a new self-service patient payment platform and digital strategy for a $2 billion healthcare organization, improving patient experience and increasing the self-pay payment yield by 30%, with 40,000 new users over 13 months.
  • Led an initiative for a strategic revenue cycle client to implement cash acceleration methodologies, task forces for accounts receivable (AR) reduction and denials management, a payment monitoring workgroup, and new staffing models, resulting in five-year lows for AR days in candidate for billing (CFB) and 13-month lows for AR days in hospital billing and exceeding cash goals by $50 million in 10 months.
