About Cecily
Cecily has led numerous community, academic and multisite health system operational and perioperative assessments for nearly three decades, providing achievable and implementable savings opportunities for strategic, process and productivity improvements and reduced clinical supply chain expenses.
Throughout her career, Cecily has:
- Led nonlabor operating room (OR) and cardiovascular teams at a large academic integrated delivery network (IDN) in Ohio, resulting in over $2.5 million in annualized, implemented savings.
- Led an OR assessment for a midsize community hospital in southern California, resulting in a playbook to improve patient throughput, capacity management and perioperative flow processes.
- Led an OR assessment for a large teaching hospital in south Florida, where she evaluated all aspects of the perioperative continuum as well as OR inventory and the sterile processing department, resulting in a road map for a new block schedule, room utilization targets for both inpatient and outpatient sites, case scheduling, OR governance, a new organizational chart and a methodology to continue to calculate monthly capacity statistics.
Cecily is a member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses.
Cecily holds a Master of Science in nursing and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Georgetown University.
