About Clay

With more than two decades of industry experience, Clay is passionate about developing healthcare leaders and helping organizations achieve operational excellence. He is an expert in coaching Huron’s Evidence-Based Leadership^SM framework in complex organizations managing multiple change initiatives.

Clay works with a diverse set of healthcare organizations including academic health centers, large regional health systems and national health systems to enhance quality, increase operational efficiency and improve patient outcomes. He guides clients to enhance leadership accountability, alignment and development; transform the patient experience; and increase physician and employee engagement.

Clay is a subject matter expert and speaker on Lean and Evidence Based Leadership^SM. In addition to speaking at a variety of industry events, he has presented to hundreds of healthcare systems and hospitals for audiences of up to 2,000 people. He is also a Certified Coach Practitioner^TM who regularly provides executive, senior team and other leadership coaching support.

He is a member of multiple industry associations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the American Society of Quality and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
