Debbie has nearly 30 years of nurse administration experience in facilities ranging from small community hospitals to large academic health centers. She has spent her career motivating leaders and helping hospitals engage their patients and provide high quality care.

About Debbie

Debbie collaborates with healthcare organizations to empower employees and transform the patient experience. Her career as a nurse administrator across a variety of healthcare settings, from large academic health centers to small community hospitals, gives Debbie first-hand insight into the complexities of care delivery. She takes pride in helping organizations engage their patients and provide the best care possible.

Throughout her career Debbie has:

  • Managed the rapid growth of a community hospital while decreasing agency usage, increasing nursing retention and improving overall quality of care.
  • Helped increase patient experience scores for an orthopedic unit from the 20th percentile to the 99th percentile within four months and developed the process to maintain the 99th percentile ranking for over a year.
  • Developed the first Primary Certified Stroke Center in central Florida by creating a centralized protocol utilized by emergency medical services in five neighboring counties.

Prior to her time at Huron, Debbie held multiple nurse leadership positions, from assistant nurse manager to chief nursing officer. She is a certified trainer with Developmental Dimensions International and has taught multiple team-building and communication classes in the facilities in which she worked.
