About JoAnn
JoAnn is a leader and coach at Studer Education who has spent her career in teaching and education administration. She works with schools and education leaders across the country to implement Evidence-Based LeadershipSM practices to improve employee engagement, strengthen organizational culture and enhance student outcomes. She specializes in working with schools that are applying the Baldrige Performance Excellence framework in their organizations and those who that are in the Baldrige application process.
Prior to joining Studer Education, JoAnn was the superintendent of schools in Pewaukee School District (PSD), a district serving more than 3,000 students. Under her leadership, student achievement increased dramatically, graduate rates rose to 97% and the school district was honored with the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 2013.
JoAnn was recognized as Pewaukee’s Person of the Year in 2014 and Wisconsin’s Superintendent of the Year for 2013. She was named one of Milwaukee Business Journal’s Women of Influence in 2010 and in 2019 was honored with the Harry Hertz Leadership Award, which recognizes individuals whose behaviors provide a role model for others.
