Throughout his career, Joel has worked across multiple care environments to develop leaders, guide strategic planning, and help set actionable goals. He has led organizations to exceed and sustain top decile employee engagement and improve HCAHPS star ratings to four and five stars. He is an expert in leading best practices to improve employee engagement and the patient experience.
Before joining Huron, Joel served as the internal champion for Del Sol Medical Center where he was responsible for training, monitoring and validating all Huron initiatives and Evidence-Based LeadershipSM tools and tactics. During his tenure, the organization saw improvements in HCAHPS to the top quartile and outpatient services results improved to the top decile and was ranked in the 90th percentile in employee engagement two years in a row.
