Steph has over 15 years of healthcare experience and has spent the past nine years leading revenue cycle performance improvement and software conversions for large hospital systems, academic medical centers and community hospitals.
Steph has helped healthcare clients achieve targeted improvements consistently over her career and has led efforts to achieve a range of $2 million to $60-plus million in annualized benefit improvements through the development of technology-enabled solutions to improve operational performance and standardization.
Throughout her career, Steph has:
- Led an Epic conversion implementation for multiple divisions within a $2 billion net patient revenue (NPR) multistate Catholic health system, including enhanced training, revenue reconciliation and legacy analysis.
- Led revenue cycle performance improvement efforts through athenaIDX upgrades for a large academic medical system.
- Served as interim director of central business office and interim director of patient access at an $8 billion NPR health system.
- Led multiple revenue cycle process improvement implementations for large hospital and physician organizations.
Prior to joining Huron, Steph had various roles in the project management and management teams at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. During her tenure, she was responsible for managing claims services representatives, multiple functional and technical organizational improvement initiatives, successful negotiation of vendor performance guarantees, and coordinating the development of a successful Medicare Advantage bid.
Steph holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Florida State University.
