Steve has more than 20 years of experience creating and delivering innovative solutions and implementing workforce improvements as a healthcare consultant. He has led numerous performance and operational assessments for support services departments in hospitals and health systems and has specific expertise in contract negotiations, service delivery and process redesign.
As a corporate leader in support services contracting, Steve has diagnosed opportunities for enhancement and driven process improvement at dozens of institutions. He has reviewed the operational processes and business arrangements of more than 900 healthcare departments, covering small rural acute access hospitals to prestigious academic medical centers and large national healthcare systems.
Throughout his career, Steve has:
- Designed and executed facility build-outs for multimillion-dollar operations employing hundreds of staff and management personnel at some of the nation’s most notable institutions.
- Successfully negotiated contracts integrating waste management processes and vending relationships for a major academic medical center.
- Overseen process improvements for a major academic medical center, resulting in savings of $3 million.
Prior to joining Huron, Steve was a corporate client services director for Aramark Healthcare, where he was responsible for successful client relations, contract terms and performance.
Steve is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the American Culinary Federation.
