Case Study: Women's Hospital - Comprehensive
Woman's Hospital sought to complement its long-term growth plan with a system-wide Volume-2-Value strategy to improve efficiency and reduce costs while continuing to provide a superior patient experience. Leadership partnered with Huron to design and implement performance improvement initiatives across the system, including the physician practice, as well as labor, non-labor and clinical operations.
Huron's comprehensive approach included implementing its Revenue Cycle solution to increase financial security at the time of admission, improve in-house financial screening and reduce A/R days. Optimizing the revenue cycle for the physician practice reduced A/R days by 8.5 days. Huron's Labor solution provided an annual recurring benefit of $3.9 million. Non-labor expenses were reduced by $2.2 million. Huron's Clinical Operations solution included weekly clinical high-risk meetings and daily clinical high-risk rounds.
"Partnering with Huron allowed us to maximize results in an expedient manner," said Stephanie Anderson, executive vice president, Woman's Hospital. "Their tools and techniques are proven and provided a way for us to hardwire the process into our day-to-day activities, ensuring suitability of those results over time."Download Now
