Huron Research Suite Developer Immersion Training
This class is targeted at developers working on a Huron Research Suite project deployment team who have already completed the Introduction to Workflow Configuration course. This offering goes beyond the instructor-led training you've already completed from Huron. It provides a thorough look at all aspects of workflow development using a scenario-based learning approach. Students apply skills from the Intro to Workflow Configuration course to a real life project example using Huron software portfolio design materials and approaches.

What You Will Learn
Developers will be required to participate in all aspects of a scenario-based workflow development project, including:
- Planning
- Design
- Development
- Code reviews
- Testing
- Methodology
In addition, they'll gain confidence in their skills as they present results at each stage to project stakeholders, such as project managers and other developers. Huron uses an entire onboarding team that consists of Huron project managers, senior consultants, and recent graduates of the immersion training program.
Working from business requirements defined by experienced product managers, students build a workflow project that extends their Huron Research Suite solutions. Using an iterative and progressive approach, students will work with a mentor one-on-one to solve real-world problems with the software. When students make errors or don't understand a technique, an experienced developer will sit down with them to explain it, do it, or correct it.
Immersion training helps developers learn while working on a project in a safe environment where mistakes are an encouraged part of the process. While here, they participate in each stage of development with a trained mentor. Huron can only accommodate up to two developers at a time to ensure each one gets concentrated attention in this program. While we are flexible with timing, we typically recommend four weeks on site in the Beaverton office. However, if this presents a challenge, we can work with your team to identify a solution. After this training, developers will have the core skills required to create enterprise-level workflow automation solutions using Huron Research Suite.
Important Schedule Note
Ideally, immersion training should start the week following an Introduction to Workflow Configuration course. However, we recognize that not all project schedules can wait for an upcoming class. If you are interested in this training, contact us today and we will work with you to accommodate the scheduling needs of your institution.
