3 Ways to Prepare Your Institution for the New Single Audit

The OMB’s Uniform Guidance (UG) officially went into effect in late 2014, and institutions will soon be experiencing their first single audit, formerly the A-133 audit, impacted by the new regulations.
Here are a few simple steps your institution can take to be prepared for its next single audit:
Closely inspect the OMB 2015 Compliance Supplement and the COSO and GAO Green Book frameworks
Be prepared to demonstrate how internal controls are integrated into your compliance environment by assessing and updating your policies and procedures
Review prior audit findings and management responses to ensure they are fully addressed
