For nearly two decades, Doug has helped leading research institutions transform their research administration through the implementation of Huron Research Suite. He has worked with sponsored programs offices, finance departments, clinical trial offices, institutional review boards (IRBs), safety committees, export control offices, research compliance offices, university compliance offices, and animal care and use committees (IACUCs).
Doug’s expertise extends to organizational change management, enterprise resource planning (ERP) integration, and analytics, ensuring seamless transitions and optimized processes. His research administration and implementation planning expertise has allowed him to successfully implement Huron Research Suite at more than 20 institutions.
Throughout his career, Doug has:
- Guided multiple universities, academic medical centers, and research hospitals through research administration technology selection, discovery, and implementation.
- Integrated Huron Research Suite with ERP systems, including Workday, Oracle Cloud, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), PeopleSoft, and Banner.
- Established program management and change management offices.
- Designed and deployed research enterprise warehousing, reporting, and analytics solutions.
- Worked closely with research leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of their current organizational structure, processes, and use of technology.
- Operationalized managed services solutions for research administration and research technology.
Doug earned a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
