Andrew leads process improvement implementations, including software installation and organizational redesign of patient access, revenue integrity, health information management, patient financial services and denials prevention areas for multihospital systems, stand-alone community hospitals, academic medical centers and large public health care systems.
Throughout his career, Andrew has:
- Led a team of 35 consultants through the redesign, consolidation and performance improvement of all hospital and professional patient financial services functions for a 20-hospital, $3 billion net patient revenue (NPR) organization spread across four states, resulting in more than $100 million in recurring annualized benefit.
- Overseen the design and implementation of large-scale transformation and standardization efforts at two facilities within the largest public health system in the country, resulting in transitioning staff from paper-based to automated workflows; a coordinated staffing strategy with hospital, city and union leadership that enabled realignment of more than 2,000 staff; and more than $100 million in recurring annualized benefit across the system.
- Created and implemented a process improvement plan for a large academic medical center, resulting in increased standardization and value from scale across four medical centers within the health system and more than $29 million in recurring annualized benefits.
- Overseen the organizational redesign of scheduling, insurance verification, preregistration, financial counseling and hospital admissions for a large academic and community hospital in the West, resulting in $24 million in recurring annualized benefits.
