About Laura
Laura is a founding member of Huron and a global digital executive with more than 25 years of experience advancing the higher education mission through artificial intelligence (AI), technology, and operational transformation. She works with tier-one and tier-two research (R1 and R2) universities, academic medical centers, and public and private multicampus institutions to address the full scope of institutional transformation.
Her experience spans enterprise resource planning (ERP), human capital management (HCM), student information systems (SIS), customer relationship management (CRM), research administration, advancement, spend management, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities. Laura brings together functional, technical, and organizational change management expertise to help institutions develop digital strategies, modernize operations, strengthen governance, and sequence complex technology investments.
Throughout Laura’s career, she has:
- Led enterprise digital strategy and multiyear transformation road map development for research universities and academic medical centers, aligning technology investments with institutional priorities, funding models, and operating constraints.
- Advised senior executives on enterprise governance, portfolio sequencing, and investment trade-offs across ERP, HCM, SIS and financial aid, CRM, research administration, spend management, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities.
- Served as executive sponsor and program director for multiple cloud ERP, HCM, and SIS deployments at large public and private higher education institutions.
- Acted as quality assurance executive and trusted advisor during high-risk program inflection points, including scope alignment, governance, organizational, and technical decision making.
- Served as executive sponsor for Salesforce transformations across the student lifecycle, advancement, and alumni engagement, integrating CRM strategy with student experience, fundraising operations, and donor engagement.
- Held the role of executive sponsor for the planning and implementation of Huron Research Suite, including Grants & Agreements, IRB, IACUC, COI, and Animal Operations applications.
Prior to joining Huron, Laura served in the higher education consulting practice of Arthur Andersen LLP.
Laura earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and a certificate in international business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
