Thiemo Werner is a Managing Director at Innosight, Huron’s strategy and innovation business, based in Zurich. He is a leader in the firm’s life sciences practice and advises senior leadership teams on growth and transformation, including long-term growth strategy, commercial acceleration, portfolio repositioning, and the development and scaling of new businesses.

Thiemo brings deep expertise across medtech, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and select technology-driven industrial sectors. Since joining Innosight, he has advised clients across Central and Northern Europe and the United States, helping leadership teams address critical growth challenges and translate strategy into action. He also co-leads the firm’s work with family businesses.
Prior to joining Innosight, Thiemo worked at Boehringer Ingelheim, where he focused on business model innovation in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. He also has experience in management consulting and with a technology startup in Canada.
Thiemo holds a PhD in Strategic Management from WU Vienna, where his research focused on business model extension and value creation. He also holds an MSc in Business Administration, specializing in Strategy and Entrepreneurship, from Católica Lisbon School of Business and an MSc in Finance from Lancaster University.
