Kristine has over 30 years leadership experience in higher education. Her professional background provides both analytical and managerial approaches to enrollment and student lifecycle management, along with a deep understanding of the organization processes required to support admissions, financial aid, strategic net pricing, student retention, and ultimately enhanced graduation rates. Her ability to evaluate data from institutional sources, student satisfaction surveys and market-based comparative metrics, along with assessing best management practices lead to her capacity to identify paths to distinctive institutional improvement. Helping institutions align programs for budgetary sustainability, strategic enrollment management and support for improved student retention are areas of expertise.
Prior to joining Huron, Kristine was President of the Consortium on Financing Higher Education (COFHE), a membership think tank organization of 35 highly selective universities and colleges that collects, analyzes and provides professional settings for discussions of financial sustainability, admissions and financial aid models, and student success practices. In this position, Kristine set the agenda for analytic priorities and coordinated the discussions among presidents, admissions leaders, aid directors and other senior officers. Prior to COFHE, Kristine was Dean of Academic Services and Student Affairs at Tufts University, where she led an organizational review and transformation of support services based on tailoring best practices to advance Tufts’ value proposition. This resulted in recognition as a “Best Practice” institution in student services. Kristine was also Associate Vice President of Student Affairs at the University of Southern California, where she helped develop USC’s “Trojan Life Cycle” in support of student retention and graduation through improved coordination of all elements of the enrolled student experience. She began her work at USC in institutional research.
