About Annie
Annie has delivered performance improvement for healthcare clients for over a decade. Her detailed knowledge of processes across the revenue cycle has enabled her to successfully lead improvement efforts and achieve results in a variety of healthcare settings, including large multifacility health systems, community hospitals and physician medical groups.
Annie’s expertise centers on large-scale process performance improvement, system redesign and implementation, and department standardization and optimization. She helps design processes and technology solutions that enable clients to achieve patient experience, financial and employee engagement improvements.
During her career, Annie has:
- Served as interim director of the continuous improvement team for an Arizona-based nonprofit healthcare system operating 33 acute care hospitals, including three academic medical centers, across six states. She defined the team strategy, established vendor cost reduction projects, implemented revenue cycle improvements, and supported a team that realized $3 million in net revenue improvement and over $60 million in cash acceleration.
- Led the design and implementation of improved work drivers and a reporting tool for a $450 million community healthcare system in the Midwest, including implementing a vendor management solution for the physician revenue cycle (RC) space. The project resulted in improved consistency between hospital and physician RC operations and over $17 million of recurring revenue benefit.
- Led a five-person team streamlining work drivers, standardizing processes, improving cross-unit communication and proactively managing denials at a 302-bed community hospital in Illinois, resulting in $16 million in recurring revenue benefit.
- Managed the implementation of enhanced revenue cycle management tools at a nonprofit hospital in New York, improving point-of-service collections, streamlining authorization processes, introducing denials management processes, initiating productivity and quality standards, and increasing coverage of accounts receivable.
Annie earned a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She holds a Bachelor of Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
