About Jon

Jon has over 15 years of experience leading revenue cycle, patient access, and health system transformations. He has worked with top-tier academic medical centers, multistate health systems, pediatric hospitals, and medical groups across the country. He has specific expertise advising organizations on improving financial and operational performance, transforming their operating models, and using existing and emerging technologies. He has served in interim executive leadership roles within leading pediatric institutions and large multistate health systems.

Throughout his career, Jon has:

  • Led the design and implementation for a referral management, scheduling, nurse triage, and financial clearance shared services model for a top-ranked children’s hospital in California, resulting in a 15% improvement in authorizations secured prior to service, 10-day improvement in referral turnaround time, and 20% improvement in call abandonment rates.
  • Directed the revenue cycle front-end and back-end transformation for an 11-facility, three-state health system, resulting in bottom-line improvement of $62 million in annual recurring benefit.
  • Directed a care access engagement at a top-ranked teaching and research institution on the East Coast to redesign its 20-ambulatory-clinic contact center with over 200 staff members. The implementation led to improved access metrics, including decreased cancellation and no-show rates, additional clinic visit volume, reduced phone wait times and abandonment rates, and reduced revenue leakage.
  • Led the implementation of a centralized patient access unit with over 115 staff members servicing 14 hospitals throughout the Midwest for a $3 billion net patient revenue health system. The implementation led to significant patient access operational metric improvement.

Prior to joining Huron, Jon served as a consultant focusing on patient access and technology implementations at Stockamp & Associates, which was acquired by Huron in 2008. He also held the role of growth executive at Janus Health. Jon led the strategic sales for an enterprise revenue cycle SaaS automation and intelligence company within the West, Southwest, and Mountain States territories.

Jon earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
