About Scott

Transformation is a change in form or substance. It is not doing what you are currently doing better, faster or cheaper; it is a foundational change.

Scott is a leader at Innosight who has been based in the firm’s Singapore offices since 2010. During that time, he has led the regional expansion of Innosight’s consulting business, served as Innosight’s elected managing partner from 2012 to 2018 and overseen bounded experiments in venture capital (Innosight Ventures) and online platforms (Innosight X).

Throughout his time with Innosight, Scott has worked with leaders of Global 1000 companies, startups, nonprofits and governments around the world to design new growth strategies, build innovation capabilities, navigate industry disruption and manage strategic transformation. He has extensive experience in emerging markets, particularly in India, China and the Philippines.

Between 2009 and 2015 Scott served as the chair of the investment committee for IDEAS Ventures, a $10 million venture fund comanaged by Innosight and the Singapore government. He also served on the board of directors of MediaCorp, Singapore’s leading media company, from 2013 to 2019.

In 2019, Scott was recognized as the #9 most influential management thinker by Thinkers50, a biannual ranking of global business thinkers. In 2017, he was awarded the Thinkers50 Innovation Award, which recognizes the world’s leading thinker on innovation.

Scott is an in-demand speaker and author of eight books on the topic of corporate innovation and growth. He frequently contributes to the Harvard Business Review, HBR.org and the MIT Sloan Management Review.
