In Brief
In today’s competitive higher education environment, colleges and universities are focused on creating a better student experience across campus to attract, retain and graduate students. University leaders can implement student information systems (SIS) like Workday Student to empower students with the information they need to manage their courses and complete their degrees.
Brandeis University, located in Waltham, Massachusetts, sought to overhaul business processes in the fall of 2019. With approximately 3,400 undergraduate and 1,900 graduate students, including 44 undergraduate majors, 40 master’s degrees, and 17 doctoral programs, Brandeis wanted to provide a sole source of truth for all stakeholders on campus.
After meeting with several implementation advisers, Brandeis selected Huron to support the universitywide implementation of Workday Student while simultaneously prioritizing change management workstreams. Huron’s methods and key team roles combined with Brandeis’ change management initiatives fostered an environment to allow self-service functionality for students while department leads collaborated to accumulate previously siloed data under one system.
