About Doug

Doug provides business and digital transformation leadership, program management, and expertise to manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, and professional services clients to improve business processes and establish and enable key performance indicators and metric analytics. He also helps clients implement key Microsoft business applications, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM). The programs that Doug leads support improved processes through digital transformation across the business process value chain.

Throughout his career, Doug has:

• Directed, managed, and performed implementation quality assurance for multiple Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Finance and Supply Chain Management implementations for manufacturing clients in various industries such as heavy equipment, metals and plastics, oil and gas, and gaming — encompassing discrete, process, and hybrid manufacturing.
• Led a pre-ERP assessment and ERP planning project for a complex textile manufacturer to support business and digital transformation from a legacy first-generation ERP system to Microsoft D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. This engagement helped drive more efficient processes and streamlined decision making for business processes across the company.
• Managed a Microsoft Dynamics ERP recovery engagement for a metals and plastics manufacturer across all major business processes to stabilize system use and prepare for migration to D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. This initiative enabled increased visibility, helping the client to inventory value and product margins, streamline finance and supply change processes, and increase education and training of business process value streams across the organization.
• Directed a full implementation, stabilization, and application maintenance and support of D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management for an oil and gas manufacturer and distributor, driving a successful transition during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Managed a full assessment of a Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 to D365 Migration, providing key recommendations and an approach to achieve a successful cloud migration process and information regarding costs, timing, and effort.

Prior to joining Huron, Doug served as Microsoft D365 practice lead at AXIA Consulting, which was acquired by Huron in 2024. Additionally, he has held Microsoft leadership roles at Tribridge (now DXC Technology), including geographic leadership, client delivery, talent development, and talent acquisition. He has also served as senior vice president and global chief information officer for a boutique investment bank and director of business systems for a publicly traded real estate developer, leading customer care and technology strategy across ERP, CRM, project management, architecture, and land development.

Doug earned a Bachelor of Science in finance with a concentration in management information systems from the University of South Florida.

He has been in the Microsoft ecosystem for over 25 years, focusing on ERP and CRM, and is a certified Real Colors facilitator. Doug’s application experience includes D365 Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Customer Engagement (CE). He is also experienced in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and AX 2012, Dynamics GP, Dynamics SL, and Cornerstone on Demand.
