Eric Wilberg

Eric has more than 15 years of experience helping healthcare organizations improve revenue cycle efficiency and increase net revenue to drive recurring annual cash and cost savings.

Leadership often sees part of the picture through reporting, but deeper issues demand a full view across systems. Incremental steps help, but organizational transformation unlocks the greatest value.

About Eric

Eric provides revenue cycle expertise to healthcare clients, helping to activate revenue and cost savings and enabling them to further invest in serving their communities. He leads teams to redesign processes and implement technology and operational solutions for multiple areas across healthcare institutions. He has helped clients improve process efficiency, strengthen reporting and accountability, accelerate and increase cash collections, build staff and management competency, enhance productivity and quality, bolster regulatory compliance, and achieve millions of dollars in net revenue improvement.

Eric has led transformation across front-end revenue cycle functions, including scheduling, referral management, preregistration, preservice collections, financial clearance, and financial counseling. His expertise extends through midcycle and provider operations, such as provider credentialing, provider work relative value units (RVUs), service capture, charge description master (CDM) optimization, and revenue integrity. He also brings a strong background in back-end functions, including denial and avoidable write-off management, accounts receivable (AR) reduction, self-pay follow-up, customer service, cash posting, vendor management, price transparency, and revenue cycle reporting.

Eric is certified in Epic Prelude and Grand Central modules and has worked with multiple clients on system conversions as well as pre- and post-implementation initiatives focused on access to care, service capture, and revenue cycle optimization.

Throughout his career, Eric has:

  • Led an end-to-end revenue cycle initiative for a medium-sized health system in the Midwest, resulting in over $10 million in annual recurring net revenue.
  • Directed a transformation initiative for a critical access hospital in the Southwest, resulting in a 9% improvement in annual recurring net revenue.
  • Managed a revenue cycle support initiative for a client transitioning electronic health record (EHR) systems, resulting in post-live revenue reaching over 101% of baseline within 60 days.

Prior to joining Huron, Eric served as a managing director at Eclipse Insights, which was acquired by Huron in 2025. He held the role of managing director at Nordic Consulting and leadership roles at The Claro Group. He started his career at Stockamp & Associates.

Eric earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Eric is highly involved with the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), being both a fellow (FHFMA) and executive of healthcare revenue cycle (EHRC). He volunteers with the association’s Colorado chapter, currently serving as chapter president.
