About Jim
Jim has more than three decades of experience providing financial advisory and restructuring support to organizations across the healthcare industry. He works closely with leaders of health systems, hospitals, nursing homes, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living facilities, pharmaceutical companies, and manufacturers and distributors to address complex operational and restructuring decisions.
Jim frequently serves as interim chief restructuring officer, chief operating officer and chief financial officer for healthcare providers during restructuring situations. He has led organizations in healthcare and beyond through critical bankruptcy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), planning and performance improvement initiatives.
Throughout his career, Jim has advised more than 125 health system, hospital, senior living and other healthcare clients on business and financial planning, operational and debt restructuring, clinical service line plans, financial performance improvement, physician integration, operations assessments, and market and financial feasibility studies. He has also supported more than 40 M&A transactions, due diligence and post-transaction integration plans.
Prior to Huron, Jim was a senior managing director at Mesirow Financial Consulting focused on restructuring and healthcare business consulting. Prior to that, he held senior positions in KPMG’s corporate recovery and healthcare practices.
