Dr. Jimit Jain provides clinical transformation and intelligent automation expertise to healthcare systems and provider organizations, enabling them to drive sustainable margin improvement, reduce clinical variation, and accelerate digital transformation. He collaborates with health systems to design and implement automation and AI-enabled strategies that enhance operational efficiency and care delivery.

Jimit has led healthcare transformation engagements across the country, generating significant margin improvement for clients. His work is grounded in evidence-based clinical redesign, advanced analytics, and a deep understanding of operational and financial levers in healthcare.

Throughout his career, Jimit has:

  • Led multiple large-scale financial transformation engagements across a diverse range of hospital types, including large health systems, stand-alone hospitals, academic medical centers, community hospitals, and both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations — resulting in over $500 million in margin improvement.
  • Overseen more than 30 clinical and operational transformation engagements, including service line outcomes improvement; throughput optimization across emergency department, inpatient, and perioperative settings; care variation reduction; the enhancement of publicly reported ratings (e.g., Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services [CMS] star ratings, Leapfrog); and comprehensive quality initiatives targeting readmissions, mortality, and complications.
  • Led a comprehensive margin improvement initiative across six hospitals, spanning clinical operations, physician enterprise, value-based care, revenue cycle, and corporate services, resulting in over $250 million in financial impact.
  • Led the clinical enterprise team and pharmacy in a 125-plus hospital health system within a large-scale margin improvement engagement, yielding over $550 million in impact.
  • Directed a 20-plus facility clinical variation reduction program for a national for-profit health system, achieving $24 million in bottom-line impact across orthopedic, cardiac, spine surgery, and cardiology service lines.
  • Overseen patient throughput optimization efforts across multiple hospitals, with the most significant engagement yielding a 45% reduction in excess days and over $14 million in margin improvement at a single facility.

Prior to joining Huron, Jimit served as principal and clinical enterprise practice lead at Premier Inc., where he led the development and delivery of enterprisewide transformation solutions. These integrated clinical enterprise, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), supply chain, pharmacy, and data analytics to drive holistic (observed and expected) performance improvement. He also served as the clinical liaison for the 100 Top Hospitals and 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals program, collaborating directly with C-suite leaders across the country to develop strategies to improve national rankings and the balanced scorecard of margin, quality, and patient safety outcomes.

Earlier in his career, Jimit held the role of managing consultant at Navigant, serving as a clinician and a project leader leading large-scale clinical variation and margin improvement initiatives. He also practiced as a dental surgeon in Mumbai, India, before moving to the U.S.

Jimit earned a master’s degree in health administration and a Master of Science in health informatics and bioinformatics from the University of Missouri and a bachelor’s degree in dental surgery from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in India.

He is a Lean Six Sigma green belt and a member of the Indian Dental Association. Jimit was honored with multiple Premier Values Awards for his leadership in engagement delivery and a unique dental clinical supplies standardization initiative.
