Ken Huntley

Ken has spent more than 25 years in technology, 15 of which have been helping healthcare organizations with large-scale initiatives, back-office transformation, and medical system improvements to improve patient outcomes and operational costs.

Scalable, sustainable success in healthcare begins with an efficient, intentional operating model. This is our passion, and we are grateful to be a part of assisting our clients with this, improving patient and provider outcomes as a result.

About Ken

Ken helps providers, payors, and clients in adjacent industries implement operational efficiencies, enabling them to increase margins while improving patient outcomes.

Most recently, Ken has:

  • Led a back-office transformation for a health system based in North Texas, including an operating model redesign for the human resources department and a full-platform implementation of Workday across finance, supply chain, payroll, and human resources. The initiative reduced the system’s cost structure and enabled it to consistently demonstrate substantial margins with Medicare and Medicaid patient populations.
  • Directed more than 10 large-scale back-office transformation initiatives, each centered on full Workday platform implementations across human resources, payroll, finance, and supply chain. These projects also included operating model redesigns for finance, procurement, payroll, and human resources, resulting in improved scalability and reduced cost structures.
  • Led the implementation of Epic for a nationally ranked children’s hospital in Texas, including the concurrent rollout of International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) medical coding standards. The initiative enhanced patient outcomes by improving access to medical records and strengthening diagnostic capabilities.
  • Developed and executed a systemwide rollout strategy to support Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance for several large health insurance clients, including organizations across the East Coast, West Coast, and Midwest. The strategy ensured each payor could effectively receive and process ACA claims from health systems ahead of the law’s implementation.

Prior to joining Huron, Ken had a long career in consulting serving across several competencies, which ultimately led him to serving as chief information officer of a financial services organization.

Ken earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Texas.

Ken is on the board of directors of Children’s Relief International.
