About Leah
Leah provides expertise in Epic strategy, implementation, and the broader healthcare IT ecosystem, enabling organizations to achieve strategic goals such as accelerating cash collection, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing provider workflows.
Leah is known for her ability to lead large-scale initiatives, optimize systems, and drive measurable improvements in clinical and operational outcomes. Her work spans enterprisewide Epic electronic health record (EHR) implementations, AI-driven integrated solutions, and international healthcare transformation efforts.
Throughout her career, Leah has:
- Planned and directed an Epic implementation for a major cancer center, leading a 300-plus member team through the largest Beacon pre-live conversion in Epic history, enabling oncologists to enter 8,000 treatments before go-live. Her strategic approach resulted in an 85% MyChart adoption within the first month, enrolling over 100,000 patients in the first week, surpassing industry benchmarks. Leah's efforts also led to a significant reduction in minimum days, from 14 to seven within three months post-launch, accelerating cash collection and improving financial performance. This initiative included a robust research implementation, allowing for an 80% increase in the consent rate for electronically collected research.
- Overseen an Epic initiative for a Northern European country, resulting in Epic’s first-in-country go-live and the first deployment of social care development.
- Delivered numerous Epic implementations for a variety of academic, safety net, and other healthcare organizations, resulting in widespread adoption of Epic across the spectrum of clinical and revenue cycle applications.
Prior to joining Huron, Leah served as executive program director and vice president (consultant) at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Center. Before MSK, Leah served as senior program director at CodaMetrix, where she developed an AI-powered billing automation solution, and as senior account executive at Clearsense, driving growth in healthcare data analytics, conversion, and archiving solutions. Leah also spent nearly a decade at Epic Systems Corporation, where she led global implementations — including first-in-country launches — and served as general manager of Epic’s Finland office, among other leadership roles. Her early career included National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded research leadership at the Institute for Clinical Outcomes Research and project management at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
Leah earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University. She earned a medical ethics certificate from Northwestern University and is certified in Epic OpTime, MyChart, Cogito, and anesthesiology.
