About Lindsey
Lindsey is an expert in principal and major gifts work as well as campaign planning and execution. She deploys her experience in independent schools and higher education to help clients grow substantial, sustainable philanthropic revenue. Having served as an adviser and coach in independent schools, Lindsey brings a coaching mindset to her work with client trustees, heads of school, and advancement staff, supporting their learning and growth in fundraising.
During her career, Lindsey has:
- Collaborated with leadership at a midsize prekindergarten through 12th grade (pre-K-12) coed day school to prepare for, plan, and execute the school’s largest-ever fundraising campaign. Together, they set an ambitious goal 140% larger than the previous one and successfully strategized the solicitation and closure of two principal lead gifts, marking a historic achievement for the school.
- Guided the board of trustees, head of school, and development team of a large, selective pre-K-12 coed day school through a critical advancement leadership transition. During this period, there was seamless implementation of recommendations from a campaign readiness study, positioning the school for sustained fundraising success despite the absence of a chief advancement leader.
- Developed and helped implement a comprehensive five-year fundraising plan for a K-12 college preparatory school serving students with learning differences. The initiative led to significant increases in annual philanthropic revenue and the creation of new endowment funding aligned with the school’s strategic goals.
- Conducted an in-depth comprehensive campaign readiness study for a faith-based K-8 school, evaluating its operations, infrastructure, and philanthropic culture. The analysis paved the way for increased staffing, enhanced volunteer engagement, successful major gift fundraising, and long-term, sustainable philanthropic growth.
Prior to joining Huron, Lindsey served as vice president in the independent schools practice area at Grenzebach Glier and Associates (GG+A), which was acquired by Huron in 2024. She has also held advancement leadership and front-line fundraising positions in independent schools and higher education institutions, including Gaston Day School, The Fletcher School, Providence Day School, Saint Leo University, and Oglethorpe University.
Lindsey earned a Bachelor of Arts from Hollins University and is an alumna of Darlington School.
Lindsey is an active volunteer for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). In 2023, Lindsey completed a two-year term as chair of the District III cabinet and has volunteered for CASE in various capacities since 2009.
