About Ryan

Ryan has more than 25 years of experience delivering technology and process solutions for universities, research institutions, and other educational organizations. He has expertise in student information systems (SIS), human capital management (HCM), financials, supply chain management (SCM), and research administration systems.

Throughout his career, Ryan has:

  • Led Workday Student implementations at tier-one research (R1) and R2 universities, delivering student lifecycle functionality across multiple academic structures and managing large, cross-functional teams through evolving deployment conditions.
  • Directed a multivendor implementation of Workday HCM, Payroll, and Financials at an R1 land grant university, overseeing resource planning, budget management, and coordination of more than 200 client team members to maintain scope alignment and delivery timelines.
  • Served as technical director for a PeopleSoft Financials reinstallation at an Ivy League institution, leading environment planning, systems integration, security, performance testing, and large-scale data conversion across multiple enterprise applications.
  • Managed integration, reporting, security, and conversion teams for Workday HCM and Payroll at a large Western university, rebalancing workstreams and vendor resources to maintain project momentum and data accuracy.
  • Led data conversion and reporting strategy for a statewide university system with more than 100,000 employees, developing conversion frameworks and delivering over 300 production and warehouse reports across 26 business units.

After joining Huron in 2005, Ryan has held progressively senior roles leading higher education enterprise system implementations. Previously, he served as a senior developer at the University of Michigan, where he supported the implementation and upgrades of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, including financial aid and student financials modules, integration to state and federal systems, and document management workflows.

Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan. He has Workday certifications in engagement management/project management, human capital management, and student recruiting and admissions.

Ryan volunteers as an alumni recruiter and mentor for the University of Michigan College of Engineering.
