About Shaun
Shaun has more than 30 years of healthcare industry experience guiding organizations through efforts to transform their strategic planning, clinical operations and information systems. He is an expert in integrating people, process and technology and optimizing systems of care to improve quality and cost.
Throughout his career, Shaun has led numerous initiatives for large health systems, academic health centers, community hospitals and safety net systems. His work includes overseeing multidisciplinary programs to improve net operating margin; designing and implementing management services organizations and business process outsourcing to optimize revenue cycle, IT, supply chain and call center operations; strategic planning; and electronic health record (EHR) implementations.
Prior to joining Huron, Shaun was a senior principal at Vizient/MedAssets where he developed total performance improvement partnerships for health systems across the U.S. Shaun’s teams helped executives redesign their overall system of care and enhance the member experience, delivering in-depth clinical, financial and strategic insights.
Earlier in his career, he helped develop and deliver the world’s first automated medication distribution and documentation system. He also helped advance robotics and voice recognition into minimally invasive surgery.
Shaun holds a Bachelor of Science in clinical economics and environmental health from the University of California, Berkeley.
