In his nearly three decades as a healthcare thought and operational leader, Tad has supported clients in delivering strategic growth and solving healthcare’s most complex challenges. He translates market disruptions into strategic opportunities, implementing operational excellence and leading practices in deploying multidisciplinary, integrated teams across workforce, revenue cycle, supply chain, physician practice and clinical effectiveness.
Tad has expertise in financial analysis and planning, business process design and transformation, technology business process optimization, strategy development, merger and acquisition evaluation, and planning and total cost performance. He also helps clients innovate and transform their workforce, supply chain management, shared services model, revenue cycle management, clinical variation reduction, patient throughput, service line optimization, ambulatory growth and physician practice management.
Throughout his career, Tad has led:
- A business process redesign and transformation initiative at a 20-hospital academic medical center and community hospital system, focused on cost reduction and operations improvement of supply chain and perioperative services, resulting in more than $120 million in financial performance improvement.
- A total cost performance initiative at a regional integrated delivery network (IDN), identifying and implementing financial performance improvements of more than $90 million.
- A revenue cycle performance management effort at a large IDN, resulting in over $8 million in improved net revenue and cash position relative to the project goals.
Before joining Huron, Tad served as chief operating officer at SCWorx, a provider of software solutions to the healthcare industry. He has held the role of senior principal of enterprise solutions at Vizient, senior vice president of enterprise solutions at MedAssets, senior managing director at FTI Consulting and managing director at Navigant Consulting. Tad has also served in various leadership roles at other professional services and enterprise solutions organizations.
Tad holds a master’s degree in health administration and both a master’s and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Xavier University. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Nashville Health Care Council.
