Vickie is an experienced healthcare consultant and nurse dedicated to delivering best-in-class revenue enhancement, expense reduction and clinical transformation solutions to large health systems across the country.

About Vickie

With more than 35 years of healthcare consulting experience, Vickie works closely with health system leaders to transform their organizations’ financial and clinical performance. She has expertise in project leadership, process redesign and facilitating culture change across a variety of care settings.

Throughout her career, Vickie has led complex engagements in large academic health centers, integrated health systems, large faith-based systems, community hospitals, pediatric hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices and home health agencies across the country. She has overseen:

• Multiple care progression and transformation initiatives that resulted in decreased length of stay, reduction in avoidable days, improved patient throughput, redesigned care and utilization management, and enhanced care coordination.
• Clinical documentation improvement efforts resulting in higher accuracy, improved net revenue, increased quality scores as well as optimized electronic medical records.
• End-to end revenue cycle improvement projects, working with leaders to reengineer processes, align staffing models and modernize systems to enhance cash flow.

Prior to joining Huron, Vickie spent 22 years in Deloitte’s healthcare consulting and advisory practices focused on revenue cycle transformation, clinical documentation improvement, revenue integrity, coding, compliance, MACRA, ICD-10, nursing, clinical operations, supply chain and internal controls. She has also served as the administrative director of registration and patient financial services for Presbyterian Healthcare System.

Vickie is an active member of multiple industry organizations including the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
