Beth specializes in physician and hospital revenue cycle operations, with a focus on performance improvement, technology optimization, and complex integrated process and workflow design. As the leader of Huron’s revenue cycle Epic-enabled solutions capability methodology, she creates centralization planning and execution strategies, operating model definition, Epic optimization, robotic process automation and revenue cycle transformation for large organizations.
Throughout her career, Beth has:
- Led a hospital and physician revenue cycle optimization and centralization engagement, including Epic workflow and operating model development, an organizationwide denials prevention framework, denials resolution process improvements, strategic road map development, and the creation of an organizationwide financial clearance policy for a $2.4 billion net patient revenue (NPR) integrated health system in Connecticut, resulting in more than $30 million in recurring cash improvement.
- Led an engagement to drive more than $20 million in recurring annual benefit through revenue cycle transformation and Epic system optimization for a $2.7 billion NPR integrated health system in Virginia. The project included end-to-end Epic workflow design, operating model definition, development of a new reporting suite with Epic dashboards and Clarity reports, financial clearance policy development, denials prevention initiatives, centralization planning across five facilities, staff training program design, and performance improvement through metric management.
- Led an Epic conversion readiness and performance improvement project at a large academic medical center focused on aligning several workstreams across physician and hospital revenue cycles to standardize processes and develop a legacy accounts receivable strategy for a $2.3 billion NPR academic medical center in Kansas.
- Led a team to implement large-scale process improvement and software installation focused on patient access and patient financial services areas, including preregistration, insurance verification, point-of-service collections, billing, collections, health information management and denials management resulting in more than $15 million in recurring annualized benefit for a $900 million NPR health system in South Carolina.
- Overseen the large-scale process improvement engagement and software installation for a $500 million NPR health system in Virginia, resulting in more than $10 million in recurring annualized benefits and $8 million in one-time cash acceleration.
Beth holds a Bachelor of Science in economics and business administration from the University at Albany.
