He has specific expertise in Medicaid, physician relations, International Classification of Diseases — Tenth Revision (ICD-10), various electronic medical records (EMRs) and software documentation.
About Christopher
For more than three decades, Christopher has led information technology (IT) revenue cycle assessments, technical operation evaluations, payer regulations reviews and strategic planning engagements for numerous hospitals and health systems as well as medical groups, home health agencies and skilled nursing facilities. Throughout his career he has worked with multiple organizations to successfully develop and execute project governance with the alignment of leadership, key stakeholders, strategic initiatives, and priorities. Additionally, Christopher has an extensive background with Cerner EMR, MEDITECH, Epic, IDX, McKesson Insight/HBOC, MS4, Brightree, eClinicalWorks (eCW), Allscripts, Soarian, Invision, and other revenue cycle and clinical systems.
Prior to Huron, Christopher served as the chief revenue cycle officer at UnitedHealth Group/Optum360, where he was responsible for numerous departments, including health information management (HIM) and coding, revenue integrity, acute and ambulatory business, acute and ambulatory patient access, charge master (CDM), and contract management. Previously, he served as a senior revenue cycle consultant and engagement manager at Healthcare Services Management Inc., a regional revenue cycle manager at McKesson, and a managing consultant at Navigant Cymetrix. Additionally, Christopher worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas with government payer service lines, including commercial.
Christopher is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HMFA) and the American Medical Group Association (AMGA).
