About Colleen
Colleen is a healthcare coach and national speaker with more than two decades of experience guiding healthcare leadership teams through organizational change. She specializes in working with all levels of healthcare leaders to think differently about how they approach their roles as patient experience advocates and change-makers within their organizations.
Over the course of her career, Colleen has worked with healthcare organizations to increase employee engagement rankings and value-based purchasing HCAHPS composites, decrease patient transport turnaround times, and generate significant cost savings.
Prior to her time at Huron, Colleen was the chief experience officer for Broward Health Medical Center. During her tenure, she led the patient and family-centered care model encompassing patient satisfaction, patient advocacy, complaint and compliment management, volunteer services, concierge services and overall customer service. She directly advised the CEO on value-based purchasing and HCAHPS performance improvement initiatives, evidence-based leadership, employee engagement and physician satisfaction.
Colleen is also a professional speaker who regularly addresses healthcare industry audiences on leadership development, employee engagement, change management and patient experience topics. As past audiences have shared, Colleen’s presence when speaking is an equal balance of humor, leadership theory and tactical application.
Colleen earned her Master of Business Administration and her bachelor’s degree from Mercer University. She is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and past president of Toastmasters International, Atlanta Chapter. In 2014 she received the South Florida Business and Wealth Magazine's "Up and Comer" award in the healthcare field.
