Paul works with health systems and other healthcare organizations on complex transactions and strategic initiatives that require a clear understanding of financial performance, market dynamics, and future opportunities. He helps clients assess potential acquisitions and partnerships, evaluate transaction economics, identify synergies, and develop financial analyses that support executive and board decision-making.
His experience includes hospital portfolio acquisitions and divestitures, health system mergers and partnerships, distressed transactions, strategic growth planning, and financial planning and analysis. He also brings experience evaluating healthcare markets, competitive positioning, and organizational value related to potential partnerships.
Across Paul’s career, he has:
- Advised on the buy-side acquisition of a three-hospital portfolio through a Section 363 bankruptcy sale.
- Supported the sale of a six-hospital portfolio for a national health system operator.
- Advised an academic medical center on the acquisition of a distressed community hospital.
- Evaluated potential synergies associated with the merger of two regional health systems, each with more than $3 billion in net operating revenue.
Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from Michigan State University.
