Shannon brings more than 25 years of healthcare consulting experience with a deep focus on hospital and health system operational transformation. She works with executive teams to improve net revenue realization, reduce cost, and enhance quality through end-to-end performance improvement efforts.
Shannon’s expertise spans revenue cycle operations, hospital performance optimization, and enterprise strategy execution. She has led the development of enterprisewide workflow redesigns and reporting strategies across the revenue continuum for major healthcare organizations.
Throughout her career, Shannon has:
- Led a broad revenue transformation for a $1 billion health system that resulted in $24 million in annual net revenue improvement. Key initiatives included charge capture improvement in select departments, patient liability management redesign, avoidable write-off reduction, electronic health record (EHR) optimization, clinical documentation improvement, and clinical denial management.
- Served as the interim Revenue Cycle Executive for a $6 billion health system and led numerous net revenue improvement initiatives that resulted in more than $55 million in annual net revenue improvement. Key initiatives included clinical documentation improvement, clinical charge capture workflow enhancements, avoidable write-off reduction, and cash acceleration.
- Achieved $13 million improvement in annual net revenue and from three charge capture initiatives in perioperative services, trauma, and the intensive care unit (ICU) at a hospital system in the Northwest. Her team worked with the revenue integrity team to develop new methodology to align charging methodology with resource consumption and IT and clinical departments to automate new charging workflows.
Prior to rejoining Huron, Shannon founded and served as a Managing Director at Eclipse Insights, which was acquired by Huron in 2025. She also held leadership roles at Nordic Consulting Partners and The Claro Group. At Nordic, she built and led the performance improvement practice across both revenue and clinical transformation initiatives.
