Tushar has two decades of experience advising healthcare organizations, resulting in performance improvements and cost savings reaching up to 50% cost savings for clients. He has helped design and establish large-scale revenue cycle operations, leveraging a global delivery model with technology and automation enablers to achieve maximum efficiency for large hospital systems and ambulatory practices.
Throughout his career, Tushar has:
- Designed and transitioned large revenue cycle operations for one of the leading cloud-based practice management and electronic health record (EHR) providers with over 1,500 employees across medical coding, clinical prior authorizations, account receivables, and denial management functions.
- Established operation centers in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the Philippines to deliver a multitude of operations for healthcare providers and payers.
- Designed and operationalized end-to-end platform-enabled solutions for prior authorizations, payment postings, and risk adjustment processes.
- Led a team of automation experts for a leading healthcare payer to automate and streamline claims processing functions, resulting in savings of over 100 full-time employees.
Prior to joining Huron, Tushar served as group head and vice president at Omega Healthcare. He also served as leader of North American sales and business development for healthcare business process outsourcing at Wipro. Tushar held other leadership roles at Infosys and Cognizant.
Tushar earned a Master of Business Administration from Symbiosis International University and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
