Zach helps clients translate complex strategies into coordinated execution. His expertise spans operational and financial due diligence, buy-side and sell-side transactions, separation and integration, restructuring and turnaround, treasury operations, working capital optimization, and broader operating model transformations. Select experience throughout Zach’s career includes the following:
- Led the integration management office for multiple $5 billion systems acquiring hospitals out of Chapter 11 §363 sale processes, including being on the buy-side in two of the largest health system bankruptcies in the nation’s history.
- Served as debtor-side financial advisor to health systems in Chapter 11, forbearance, and other near-filing high-distress scenarios.
- Led numerous day-one readiness and post-close integration efforts for large academic systems acquiring community hospitals.
- Led complex multicampus assessments for multibillion-dollar systems contemplating consolidation of hospitals within their system, and planned and executed corresponding implementations yielding significant positive financial outcome.
- Led multiyear operating model transformations spanning treasury, procure-to-pay, financial planning and analysis, decision support, and internal audit.
- Developed custom leading-practice digitized cash flow forecasting solutions and established organizational governance around cash flow management.
Before joining Huron, Zach served as an Assistant Vice President in the healthcare division of one of the nation’s largest financial institutions, where he focused on treasury operations.
In 2025, Consulting Magazine recognized Zach as a Rising Star of the Profession for Excellence in Strategy Consulting in the Financial Advisory category.
Zach earned a Master of Business Administration from the Yale School of Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
