Academic governance

Effective, agile, and resilient academic governance and assurance structures, processes, and culture are needed in these challenging times. Halpin conducts an academic governance review as a standalone review or included in a wider governance effectiveness review. We’ll assess the effectiveness of your academic governance and assurance structures, processes, procedures, and culture against our academic governance maturity framework.

Healthy governance

Regular effectiveness reviews are a requirement of the Higher Education Code of Governance and are vital for healthy governance. The Halpin team can explore the effectiveness of governance and provide you with a roadmap for strengthening your practices and improving the agility and resilience of your governance. We use the Halpin governance maturity framework to help guide our work. We draw on expertise from the education, charity, health, and corporate sectors. Our team has all been on executive teams and are governors, trustees, and non-executive directors. Our goal is to support our clients move beyond compliance and towards leading-edge practice.
