Focus on Consumers to Deliver Better Care

Consumerism is continuing to play a powerful role in changing healthcare. While cost is a major factor in how consumers make their healthcare decisions, research from Huron shows positive experiences, personalized care and relationships with providers have grown in importance. These factors have become even more important as consumers strive to protect themselves from exposure to the coronavirus and seek reassurance from providers they trust in a time of uncertainty.

of consumers want a single point of contact for their care.

63%

of those surveyed said health results were not the most important factor impacting their choices.

75%

of consumers claim to be satisfied with their current provider, but more than half (59%) of consumers are willing to switch providers for distinct reasons.
