Dean serves as chief technology officer and corporate vice president at Huron. He leads Huron’s global products organization and has more than 30 years of experience building, leading, and scaling technology and software companies.

About Dean

Dean was appointed chief technology officer of Huron in December 2025. He joined Huron through its September 2025 acquisition of Wilson Perumal & Company (WP&C). Dean joined WP&C as a senior adviser in 2012, becoming a partner and the chief technology officer in 2019. Prior to joining WP&C, he served as a chief technology officer and senior vice president at Persistent Systems, and before that, head of machine-to-machine (M2M) innovation at Ericsson.

Throughout his career, Dean has founded and led several successful technology companies and held senior executive roles across the software and telecommunications industries. He served for five years as founder and CEO of CoSine Communications, a network virtualization company. At CoSine, he pioneered the technologies and business strategies associated with network-based computing services (now known as cloud computing) and led a successful initial public offering (IPO).

Dean’s expertise spans software and hardware development, new product development, and commercialization in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things, network virtualization, and emerging technologies.

In addition to his role at Huron, Dean is chairman of the board of Swivl, an education technology company, and founder and executive director of the global nonprofit Center for Humanitarian Technology.
