Deborah advises healthcare executives on enterprise growth, cost transformation, performance improvement, and technology-enabled solutions that support clinical, operational, and supply chain performance. She works with large integrated delivery networks, academic medical centers, and provider organizations to identify opportunities, align stakeholders, and bring forward solutions that improve value, strengthen decision making, and support measurable results.
Her experience spans enterprise healthcare sales, group purchasing organization (GPO) services, clinical and supply chain technology, revenue cycle solutions, market intelligence, analytics, pharmacy services, and performance improvement. Deborah has led large, complex pursuits and worked with C-suite leaders to develop strategic account plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and connect client priorities with solutions that drive operational, financial, and clinical impact.
Throughout Deborah’s career, she has:
- Led a group purchasing organization engagement for a large faith-based integrated delivery network and its affiliate program, identifying $50 million in cost savings.
- Overseen a comprehensive GPO services and technology engagement for a large public university health system, including clinical analytics and procurement technologies and delivering performance improvement initiatives that generated more than $100 million in savings.
- Launched an annual executive forum for approximately 100 leaders across a public university health system, bringing together CEOs, Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), Chief Operating Officers (COOs), Chief Nursing Officers (CNOs), Chief Strategy Officers (CSOs), and Chief Quality Officers (CQOs) to share market intelligence, system priorities, and institution-level practices that could be applied across the broader organization.
- Managed the outsourcing of group purchasing organization services for a regional healthcare system, including the transition of 90 staff members and the delivery of clinical analytics and market intelligence tools.
- Delivered clinical analytics and procedural analytics capabilities for a large integrated health system, helping establish a single source of truth for clinical benchmarking and operating room utilization.
Prior to joining Huron, Deborah served as Senior Vice President Sales at Vizient, where she led large, complex sales pursuits across advisory consulting, group purchasing organization services, clinical and supply chain technology, and pharmacy services. Earlier, she served as Vice President Revenue Cycle and later Senior Vice President Enterprise Sales Leader at MedAssets, where she contributed to enterprise sales growth across revenue cycle and supply chain operations. She also founded Medical Marketing Management and previously served as Senior Vice President Professional and Executive Lending at RB Bankshares, where she led a healthcare-focused lending division.
Deborah earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from The University of Texas at Austin. She is a graduate of the MILE Executive Leadership Program and the Leadership Southwest Governmental Affairs Graduate Internship.
Deborah’s professional involvement has included the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) National Membership Committee, American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Texas Association of Healthcare Financial Administrators, and the Case Management Society of America Education Conference Committee. She serves on local and state committees for the American Cancer Society.
