Eric has more than two decades of experience working with academic medical centers, community health systems, cancer centers and research institutes to transform their research operations and outcomes.
About Eric
Eric has spent over 23 years working with healthcare and education institutions across the research spectrum, focusing on strategy, governance, operations, compliance and technology. He leads clients in highly regulated environments through initiatives to maximize research cost savings, revenue growth, productivity and employee engagement.
Throughout his time at Huron, Eric has:
- Led institutions nationwide through strategic planning efforts to align their research and clinical missions.
- Implemented a Salesforce-enabled shared service solution for a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center, which resulted in a 40% reduction in process cycle time and accelerated clinical trial activation.
- Designed clinical trials offices for leading children’s hospitals, community hospitals and academic medical centers.
- Overseen multiple research compliance assessments to identify enterprise risks and inform mitigation strategies.
Prior to joining Huron, Eric was a director in PwC’s health industries advisory practice. He was previously the director of research operations in the department of radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he managed an $80 million research portfolio, supporting 350 sponsored projects and 170 investigators. Eric has also spent over seven years in the pharmaceutical industry in various clinical monitoring, operations and project management roles.
Eric is a member of the board of trustees and alumni board of directors for Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts.
