He has a broad range of industry experience, including general industrials, healthcare, oil and gas, consumer and retail, technology and media, aerospace and defense, business services, and chemicals.

About Mitchener

Mitchener has over 15 years of investment banking and finance experience, with expertise in originating and executing a full spectrum of corporate finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leveraged buyouts, capital markets, and restructuring transactions across multiple industries.

Throughout his career, Mitchener has:

• Led an in-court capital raise and sale process for a battery energy storage business, resulting in a successful Section 363 sale of nearly all the company’s assets.
• Directed the sale process for a founder-owned industrial equipment manufacturer, resulting in enterprise value growth of over 130% throughout the sale and marketing process.
• Structured and syndicated a $350 million senior secured capital raise for a pharmaceutical manufacturer focused on the production of generic respiratory medications.
• Led the sale process for a $160 million regional retailer focused on the adventure sports and outdoor lifestyle segments.
• Acted as lead adviser to a sponsor-owned healthcare services business as it refinanced and renegotiated its existing debt capital structure.

Prior to joining Huron, Mitchener served as an investment banker at Wells Fargo Securities and HSBC Securities, as well as serving as an inaugural member of SMBC Nikko’s high yield capital markets platform.

Mitchener earned a Master of Science from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mississippi.
