About Keri
Keri advises healthcare organizations on operational and financial transformation, with a deep background in revenue cycle, mergers and acquisitions, and operational integration. She has worked with large academic medical centers, integrated health systems, physician groups, and independent hospitals, including financially distressed organizations seeking to improve revenue, reduce costs, and strengthen operations.
Keri brings firsthand healthcare operations experience to her work, having previously managed revenue cycle operations for more than 2,000 clinicians across more than 30 specialties at a large academic medical center. During that time, she supported the organization in an operating model redesign, a lean transformation, and the acquisition and integration of a community hospital and associated physician group.
Keri also has experience helping organizations navigate transitions that require coordination across functions and stakeholders. Her recent work has included pre- and post-merger integrations, insourcing and outsourcing revenue cycle functions, and supporting financially challenged hospitals as they strengthen operations and build a more sustainable financial foundation.
Throughout Keri’s career, she has:
- Supported multiple transactions, driving significant transition service agreement savings, accelerated IT system conversion, and operational and cultural integration throughout the transaction life cycle.
- Served in a dual role as performance improvement leader and interim Vice President of Revenue Cycle for a healthcare organization, increasing its cash factor by 2% year over year while developing four leaders for advancement, including an internal successor for her interim role.
- Led revenue cycle operations that supported more than 2,000 employed providers and $1 billion in annual revenue, including an operating model redesign in which she created a centralized billing function, reducing days unbilled from more than five days to fewer than two within six months.
- Led payment review and process improvement engagements for healthcare organizations, identifying payer underpayments, evaluating contract performance, and helping finance, patient financial services, and managed care executives integrate recommendations into ongoing operations.
Before joining Huron, Keri served as Director of Revenue Cycle Services at Alpha II, where she developed the organization’s long-term product road map and helped launch denials and underpayment services. She previously served as Director of Revenue Management at Emory Healthcare and held progressive consulting roles at Triage Consulting Group.
Keri earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in economics from the University of Georgia. She is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional and an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, serving on the Georgia Chapter’s Board of Directors.
